BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference released its 2022-23 women's basketball preseason poll on Tuesday, with the Lynn women's team ranked seventh, as they garnered 47 total votes. Eckerd (97 votes, 7 first-place) ranked first, while Tampa (94, 4 second-place) ranked second. The Tritons, favorites this season, posted a 21-5 overall record in 2021-22, including 15-5 in the SSC, while the Spartans finished 29-6 (17-3 in the SSC). The Fighting Knights finished one vote behind sixth-ranked Embry-Riddle.
Lynn registered a 12-13 record in 2021-22, losing in the SSC Quarterfinal at number-two ranked Florida Southern. The team tips off the 2022-23 season on Nov. 11 against Christian Brothers University from the campus of Shorter University in Rome, G.A., and the squad plays their first home game of the season on Monday, Nov. 21 against Lincoln University.

Julia Tucker's team after a first-year campaign that saw her receive SSC Freshman of the Year honors. The Fighting Knights also have five graduate students as part of its 2022-23 roster.

Meghan Cramb are newcomers to the program, while
Loie Webb is the lone returning graduate student. The team also welcomes two freshmen,
Faith O'Donnell and
Emilie Black.
