DAVIE, Fla. – The Lynn University men's golf team captured seventh place at the NSU Shark Invitational out of a total of 12 teams, Tuesday.
The Fighting Knights capped the two-day, three-round event at +19, just two strokes behind Florida Southern (+17) and six strokes clear of Palm Beach Atlantic (+25). Barry took the win as the only school under par at -13.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights as a team shot a +7 following the first round on Monday morning and sat in a tie for sixth place with Florida Southern
- Lynn played better in the second round as the men combined to shoot a two-over par 286 to move into a tie for fifth place
- Lynn closed the tournament on Tuesday with a 294 (+10) to finish in seventh
- Junior
Jose Ramirez led the Fighting Knights with a three-under, 210 to finish in sixth place overall
- He opened round one with a +1, 72, but rallied with a one-under 70 in round two and a three-under 68 in the third round on Tuesday
- Ramirez tied for fourth in par four scoring at even par through the three rounds
- Sophomore
Federico Shin was second on the Lynn roster after he carded a +1, 214 in three rounds to finish in 13th place
- His best effort came in round two where he fired a three-under 68
- Shin led the field in par three scoring at -2 and was tied for 11
th in par five scoring at -5
- He tied for fourth with 13 birdies in three rounds

Eloy Vigil finished in a tie for 38
th place for the Fighting Knights at +10, 223. His best round came with a one over 72 in round two
