Clearwater, Florida – With three days in the books, the Fighting Knights continue to find individual success and school record-breaking times. With another individual win for the women's swim team and a third-place for the men's team, the Fighting Knights end the day in fourth overall for the women and sixth for the men.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• In the first event, the Women 400 Yard IM, Samantha Beck placed 13th with her time of 4:29.74. She qualified for the NCAA Championship beating the B standard time of 4:30.57.
• Luna Mertins for the second time in the SSC Championship placed first. This time in the Women 100 Yard Butterfly, her time of 53.45 qualifies her for the NCAA Championship, missing the guarantee by .08. Her time is also a new Lynn record as she beat the previous mark of 55.25 from 2013.
• In the Women 200 Yard Freestyle, Ewa Osiniak placed fifth. She qualified for the NCAA Championship under the B standard with her time of 1:51.86.
• For the men, it was Malek Masmoudi in the Men 200 Yard Freestyle who turned up the heat. He placed third and qualifies for the NCAA Championship with a time of 1:37.09, behind first by a second and a half. He also set a new Lynn record by beating his teammate Fountain's time of 1:39.02 from Nov. 20, 2021.
• Joshua Fountain also qualifies for the NCAA Championship with his time of 1:39.00.
• The Fighting Knights placed third in the Women 400 Yard Medley Relay. The team of Karolina Smylek, Megan Gregory, Mertins, and Osiniak had a time of 3:44.57, which also qualifies them for the NCAA Championship.
• In the Men 400 Yard Medley Relay, the Fighting Knights placed fifth with a time of 3:22.58.
• After three days, the women's swim team is in 4th place with 207 points.
• After three days, the men's swim team is in 6th place with 156 points.

The Fighting Knights' next event will be Day 4 of the SSC Championship on Saturday, Feb. 19th in Clearwater, Florida.
