Dade City, Florida - The Fighting Knights bounced back in a big way to secure fourth place at the Saint Leo Invitational. Alejandro Madariaga led the way by finishing tied for first, before ultimately falling to second after dropping a three-hole playoff.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights opened up the tournament by shooting 289 in the first round to tie for fifth heading into the second. In the second round, they shot a 282 to move into a tie for third. They would end with a final-round score of 282, which would leave them in fourth place.
- The aforementioned Madariaga shot an even-par 72 in the first round, then followed it up with back-to-back 67s to tie Lee University's Beck Burnette. The two would face off in a playoff, which would be won by Burnette on the third hole of the playoff. Madariaga was the only Lynn golfer to shoot under 70. He led the field in Par 4 scoring (-4) and he was tied for the lead with 16 birdies.
- Anthony Muttillo finished tied for 16th, shooting a three-round score of 215 (-1). He shot 12 birdies for the tournament.
- Jose Ramirez finished one stroke behind Muttillo and tied for 27th with a score of 216. He had 36 pars during the event, tied for the seventh-best mark in the tournament.
- Eloy Vigil was one stroke behind Ramirez and finished with a 217 in a tie for 31st. He was tied for the third-best Par 5 score of any individual, shooting -9 over the three rounds.
- Joseph Hudak finished 46th with a three-round score of 221. He shot two eagles during the event, to tie for the most of all golfers.
- As a team, Lynn was significantly better than the field on Par 5s. They shot a combined -34, which was 13 strokes better than the next best team.

The Fighting Knights will be back in action at the Space Coast Invitational which will take place March 6-8 in Melbourne, Florida.
