HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The day began with the honoring of five Lynn Fighting Knight seniors who were appearing in their final game with the program. Those honored included Brandon Bornelus, Christian Peevy, Ibrahima Sankare, Cameron Gaines and Frank Mack.
- With 8:10 remaining in the first half, Gaines made a three-pointer to give Lynn a 21-18 lead. They would extend the lead to as many as nine in the first 20 minutes and take a 36-33 lead into the half.
- In the second half, the Tars would briefly take a 37-36 lead, but Peevy would put Lynn immediately back on top where they would remain for the rest of the game. The Fighting Knights would cruise to the 93-70 win.
- The story of the night was Evans and his 12 three-point makes. He made just two in the first half before exploding for 10 in the second. At one point he made eight of them in a row. Evans would knock down five in the final 6:16 of the game to break Marquan Botley's record of 10 made in a game, a mark which he set in 2017. Interestingly enough, that was a game that Lynn also won by a score of 93-70, with Botley scoring 40.
- Evans' 40 points were tied for the third-most in program history, and his 14 made field goals were tied for second-most. Overall he was 12-17 from deep and 14-21 from the field.
- In his final game as a Fighting Knight, Bornelus scored six points, bringing his career total to 1,170, the sixth-most in program history. He made two three-pointers, which brought his career total to 222 made, the second-most in program history.
- Bornelus finished with a team-high nine assists, while Peevy had six. As a team, Lynn ended with 27.
- Peevy went 3-4 from the free throw line to finish the season shooting 88.5% from the stripe, the second-best individual season in program history. Peevy would finish the game with 14 points.
- Gaines would finish with 15 points and lead the team with eight rebounds.
- The Fighting Knights shot 19-35 from deep compared to just 4-22 for the Tars.
