Greensboro, North Carolina – On the fourth and final day of the NCAA Championship, the Fighting Knights ended their season strong. Four long days and nine events later, Lynn University leaves the event with a ton of success and being well represented.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the first event of the evening, the Men 1650 Yard Freestyle, Joshua Fountain and Malek Masmoudi both competed. Fountain placed 24th overall with a time of 15:57.46, while Masmoudi had a time of 15:58.53 and placed 26th.
- For the Fighting Knights earlier in the day, Luna Mertins in the prelims of the Women 200 Yard Backstroke placed first with a time of 1:56.14. In the final for the event, Mertins took home second place with a time of 1:56.52. Her time was .73 behind first place. The sophomore from Friedberg, Germany ends her season at the NCAA Championship with four top-six finishes and three top-two placements including first in the 100 Fly.
- At the end of the NCAA Championship, the women finished in 14th place and the men finished in 30th; both rankings are program bests for Lynn.
NEXT MEET:
This is the end of the Fighting Knights' season. They will be back in action in the fall of 2022.
