Lakeland, Florida - Behind a strong performance from Alejandro Madariaga, the Fighting Knights maintained their fifth-place tie heading into the final round of the SSC Championship

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Madariaga shot a 69 (-3) for the best round of any Fighting Knight at the event so far. His score moved him into fifth place overall. He ended the day just one stroke behind first-place.
• Eloy Vigil was five strokes better than yesterday, shooting a 71 (-1) to move up into a tie for 21st overall. He is -5 on Par 5s for the tournament, tied with Madariaga for the second-best mark of the tournament thus far.
• Joseph Hudak and Anthony Muttillo both shot 75 (+3) to finish tied with Vigil after the second round. Muttillo has the most pars of any Fighting Knight, recording 24, while Hudak is shooting +1 on Par 4s.
• Mariano Ayora Gomez score for the Fighting Knights today after shooting a 74 (+2) to move into a tie for 36th.
• Lynn has played particularly well on Par 4 and Par 5s. They are tied for the third-best score on the Par 4s, and they are tied with Saint Leo for the best score on Par 5s, shooting -14 through two rounds.
• The Fighting Knights are just seven strokes off the lead, which is held by Barry. Just 13 strokes separate first from eighth.
