LAKELAND, Fla. – The Lynn University men's cross country team competed in the Sunshine State Conference Championship on Saturday morning, earning 6th place. The Fighting Knights were led by junior Luke Anthony Sweatman, who earned 44th place in the 8k-race.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Sweatman (44th) paced the Fighting Knights with a time of 26:46.7
- Sophomore Renzo Almeida (27:16.7) captured 55th place
- Senior David Cueje Luque earned 63rd place with a time of 27:52
- Junior Cameron Matejka finished in 29:04.1, grabbing 79th place
- Sophomore Robert Davidson (29:32.2) captured 86th place
- Freshmen Kyle Juliano (93rd/30:59.1) and Ethan Friedman (94th/31:08.1) finished back-to-back
- Sophomore Netsanet Collins (100th/32:20.1) finished in 100th place
 
UP NEXT
The Fighting Knights will travel to Montevallo, Ala. to compete in the NCAA Division II Regional on Saturday, Nov. 4. The race is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m.
