DAVIE, Fla. - Lynn men's golf had an up and down day at the Shark Invitational on Tuesday, finishing in 4th place out of 16 teams with a final score of +16. The Fighting Knights held the lead for a portion of the second round before finishing in 4th place by the time the third round completed. Lynn was led by junior Federico Shin, who finished T-6 with a total score of 213 (E).
Florida Southern (+3) took 1st place for the second time this fall (also the NCAA National Preview). The Fighting Knights finished ahead of three ranked SSC schools, including No. 1 Barry (7th), No. 2 Nova Southeastern (8th), and No. 25 Tampa (10th).

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn sat in 4th place after shooting an opening round 292
- The Fighting Knights tied for the best team round of the tournament by shooting a 283 in round two
- A final round score of 293 put Lynn at +16 overall and in 4th place on the leaderboard
- Shin took the individual lead into the final round after shooting a second round 65, the lowest round of any golfer during the invitational
- Shin finished with a final round 76 to finish in 6th place at even par
- He led all players with a score of –5 on Par 4's and tied for the most birdies during the invitational with 12
- Senior Joseph Hudak finished tied for 17th with a final score of 218 (+5)
- Hudak shot a final round 71 to move up 16 spots on the leaderboard
- He posted 8 birdies over the three rounds
- Senior Eloy Vigil shot an opening round 71 and finished tied for 29th with a total score of 220 (+7)
- Senior Jose Ramirez shot a 70 (-1) in round two and finished T-46 with a 224 (+11)
- Graduate student Sebastian Rincon, who finished T-55 at +14, tied Hudak for the best final round on the team with a 71 (E)
- Sophomore Connor Owen finished in 90th place with a score of 247 (+34)
- Shin, Hudak and Rincon were all –1 on Par 5's during the invitational
- Overall, Lynn made 39 birdies, second only to Florida Southern's 44
