MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference has released its weekly award winners and Lynn University freshman Nordin Kapic has been honored with the Defensive Player of the Week award.
 
The Vienna Austria native, posted two more double-doubles last week for the Fighting Knights. He poured in 26 points and 17 rebounds (11 defensive) against Barry and followed with 25 points, 13 rebounds (six defensive), two steals and a block against Rollins.
 
Kapic paces the SSC in rebounding (10.3) and is fifth in scoring (19.6). He has 11 double-doubles on the season.
 
Lynn returns to the court on Wednesday at Palm Beach Atlantic at 7:30 pm.
