CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Lynn University men's and women's track & field teams totaled three top-10 finishes at the Hurricane Collegiate Invitational at the Univ. of Miami, Saturday. The Fighting Knights also combined for four personal records.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Junior
Luke Sweatman, freshman
Thomas Ashley and freshman
John Bolan each posted a top-10 finish
- Sweatman captured eighth in the 1,500-meter run in 4:00.22
- Ashley ran a PR and finished eighth in the 800-meter run in 1:59.52
- Bolan posted a personal-best 9:50.18 with fifth place in the 5,000-meter run
- Graduate student
John Ross Donnes finished in 11
th place in the 800 in 2:01.02
- Sophomore
Joseph Haynes was 13
th in the 800 in 2:02.10
- Lynn had a trio of student-athletes competing in the 400-meter dash and two set PRs
- Graduate student
Deike Schipper took 23
rd place in the 400 in a PR 1:04.42
- Freshman
Derek Romick captured 25th in the 400 in a PR 53.99

Netsanet Collins was 27th in the 400-meter dash at 57.65

th place in the 1,500-meter run at 4:10.90
