BRONX, N.Y. – Former Lynn Fighting Knight and current New York Yankees pitcher, Tommy Kahnle, is headed to the World Series.
Kahnle once again had a stellar regular season, posting a 2.11 ERA over 42.2 innings in 2024. More importantly, he has been an integral part of the Yankees bullpen this postseason. He's appeared in six games and pitched seven innings without allowing a run.

He threw 1.1 perfect innings in Game 3 of the ALDS on Oct. 9 to earn the win over the Kansas City Royals. Then, in Game 3 of the ALCS against the Guardians, Kahnle closed out the final inning of an 8-6 win to earn the save.
The 10-year MLB veteran was part of Lynn's 2009 NCAA Division II National Championship baseball team in a successful collegiate career that included a no-hitter against Saint Leo on March 13, 2010. The Latham, N.Y. native was drafted in the 5
th round of the 2010 MLB Draft by the New York Yankees.
