Hudak posts another top 10 finish at Shark Invitational

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Lynn graduate student Joseph Hudak posted his second top 10 finish of the young season, firing a -2, 211 over three rounds at the Shark Invitational on Monday and Tuesday. As a team, the Fighting Knights finished in ninth place with an overall score of +13. The fifth through ninth place teams were all within five strokes of each other, while Embry-Riddle opened with a -24 in round one and cruised to a team win at -15.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hudak finished T-10 by closing with a -2, 69 in his final round
- He posted a -2, 34 on the front nine of his first round, while firing -3, 32 on the back nine of his final round
- He tallied 12 birdies over three rounds and was -5 on Par 5's
- Freshman Theo Desroches' +2 placed him tied for 21st  
- He shot a -1, 70 to open and close the tournament
- Desroches birdied the 1st (Par 4) and 15th (Par 5) holes twice
- Graduate student Jose Ramirez placed tied for 30th at +4
- He shot a bogey-free -3, 68 second round
- Ramirez was -1 on Par 3's
- Junior Matthew DePinto finished tied for 33rd at +5
- He shot a -2, 33 on the back nine of round one
- DePinto birdied the 3rd (Par 5) and 17th (Par 3) holes twice
- Senior Federico Shin's +9 placed him T-44
- He sunk the only eagle of the tournament for Lynn on the 530-yard Par 5 during his first round
- Shin posted a -1, 35 on the front nine of his second round
- Freshman Cole Ropicky finished tied for 49th place with a +10
- Ropicky was E, 71 after his first round and had three birdies in each of his three rounds
 
UP NEXT:
- The Copperhead Championship at Innisbrook Resort from Oct. 14-15 was canceled and Lynn's next scheduled event is set for the DBU Classic in Rockwell, Texas starting on October 28
