MIAMI BEACH, Fla. - The Lynn men's golf team finished in eighth place at the Battle at the Shores, hosted by Barry, on Monday and Tuesday. The Fighting Knights made a run in the second round, leading all teams with a 279, -5, but dropped two spots in the final round after shooting a 293. Lynn was led by Joseph Hudak, who tied for 11th among all golfers with a 210, -3, while Sebastian Rincon tied for 30th at +2 (215).

 

Tournament Standing: +6, T-8th out of 16 teams 

Team Winner: Nova Southeastern (-17) 

Individual Winner: Alex Heck (Saint Leo, -10)

- Lynn tied for fifth in total birdies with 49 

- Hudak finished tied for 11th at 210, –3 (73, 69, 68) 

- His 3.94 (-2) average on Par 4s was tied for first among all players 

- Sebastian Rincon tied for 30th place at +2 with rounds of 70, 72 and 73 

- He was tied for 14th in Par 5 scoring at -5 

- Federico Shin also finished in 30th with a 215, +2 (70, 69, 76) 

- He was even in Par 3 scoring, leading all Fighting Knight golfers 

- Andres Asin finished +8 with a 221 (73, 75, 73) and tied for 60th place 

- He eagled the Par 4 12th hole in the opening round 

- Sebastiano Mascia and Lukas Buller each posted a +10 to tie for 66th place 

- Buller was tied for 14th in Par 5 scoring at –5, which included an eagle on the Par 5 18th hole in round two 

- Lynn will host the SSC Championship at Osprey Point Golf Course from April 21-23
