LAKELAND, Fla. - The Lynn University women's cross country team continued its 2025 season with an eighth-place finish at the 2025 Sunshine State Conference Championships on Saturday morning at Holloway Park. Jessica Lombardo led the way once again for the Fighting Knights, clocking one of the top individual efforts of her career as Lynn battled through the challenging 6-kilometer course.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lombardo set the tone for the Fighting Knights with a 21st-place finish, posting a time of 22:40.3 at a 6:04 mile pace - her fastest 6K mark of the season and a top-25 finish in the conference field
- Brooke Bond closed out in 85th place, crossing in 26:17.2 to serve as Lynn's No. 2 runner
- Noemia Gagliardi followed close behind in 86th place with a time of 26:18.6 for her best 6k time of the fall
- Freshman Rosemary Selke continued to impress in her debut season, placing 95th at 27:20.4, rounding out a consistent year of steady improvement
- Elizabeth O'Brien completed the team's scoring five in 97th place with a time of 30:39.7, helping Lynn post a combined team total of 2:13:17
- The Fighting Knights competed without two regular contributors, Annabelle Daley and Skyler Gillett, who were sidelined
