Maurice Grabowski has been named the Sunshine State Conference Men's Swimmer of the Year sponsored by Athletic Solutions, the league office announced Tuesday. The honor adds to an historic campaign for the Fighting Knight standout, who also earned SSC Swimmer of the Meet honors for the second consecutive year at the SSC Championships.
Grabowski's 2026 season was nothing short of remarkable, highlighted by a record-breaking performance at the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships in Evansville, Indiana. The Neu-Ulm, Germany native captured four individual national championships and five total gold medals, leading the Fighting Knights to the highest NCAA Championship finish in program history.
On the national stage, Grabowski swept the 50 freestyle (18.97), 100 butterfly (45.34), 100 backstroke (45.78) and 100 freestyle (41.89), setting Sunshine State Conference records in each event. He also played a pivotal role in Lynn's NCAA Division II record-setting 200 medley relay victory, leading off the championship quartet that touched the wall in 1:24.15.
Across the meet, Grabowski secured seven First Team All-American honors while helping guide the Fighting Knight men to a fifth-place team finish with 260 points, the highest finish in program history.
His dominance was just as evident at the conference level, where he once again stood atop the competition at the SSC Championships. For the second straight season, Grabowski was named SSC Swimmer of the Meet, continuing to set the standard in one of the nation's premier Division II conferences.
Just last week, Grabowski was recognized as the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Division II Men's Swimmer of the Year, further cementing his status as the top men's swimmer in the country.
With the SSC Male Swimmer of the Year honor, Grabowski adds another accolade to an already decorated career that includes multiple national championships, conference records and All-American honors. His impact has been instrumental in elevating Lynn swimming to national prominence, and his senior season will be remembered as one of the greatest in program and Division II history.
Grabowski's performance also headlined a historic year for the Blue and White, as the Fighting Knights continued to establish themselves among the nation's elite programs with standout performances across both the men's and women's teams.
