DAVIE, Fla. - Lynn University swimming closed out a dominant showing at the Shark Invite with runner-up team finishes on both sides, as the women totaled 697 points and the men followed closely with 754.5 points. Highlighted by a historic performance from
Maurice Grabowski, who earned the men's High Point award with 73 total points, the Fighting Knights capped the meet with multiple event wins, relay victories, and an NCAA Division II record to reinforce their position among the region's elite programs.

It was also announced by the CSCAA this afternoon that the Lynn men have moved up to number nine in the December poll with 171 points while the women have improved to 14th with 110 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
Women
- Friday's session opened with the 100 Individual Medley as
Luz Tapia cruised to an eighth place finish (1:00.04) while
Lydia Douthit followed closely behind in 11th (1:00.78)
- Lynn's distance specialist
Eva Stacey kept pace for a third place finish in the 1650 Free, finishing in 17:48.00

Truly Sommer (2:07.25) took fifth in the 200 Back while
Ala Piascinska followed closely behind in sixth (2:07.59)

Emma Eiswirth claimed eighth in the 200 Brest (2:30.58)

Mariele De Santis (2:02.08) and Douthit (2:02.45) went back-to-back in the 200 Fly, earning first and second to close out the individual events on the women's side
- The women closed out the Shark Invite with the 400 Free Relay as the team of Tapia,
Adel Pal,
Malaika Schneider and
Lily Drons put together a second place effort at 3:26.82

Men
- Grabowski smashed the NCAA Division II record in the 100 Individual Medley to open Friday's session on the men's side, cruising to an astonishing 48.15 for a new DII record (previously held by Drury's Alvaro Zornoza – 48.31)
- Kostin came in just behind Grabowski, placing third in the event with an impressive finish of 49.81
- The distance duo of
Efe Guler (16.53.63) and Jake Root (17:25.08) placed fifth and seventh in the 1650 Free, respectively

Xavier Washington came in second in the 200 Back, finishing in 1:47.78 while
Paul Melcer followed in sixth at 1:52.97
- Grabowski kept his exceptional meet going, taking third in the 100 Free (44.67) while
Enzo Constable rounded out the top eight with a seventh place finish (45.36)

Max Tsyfarov finished runner-up in the 200 Breast, completing the event with a 1:59.67 finish
- Kostin (1:46.77) and
Kamil Geisner (1:49.52) went back-to-back for the top spots in the 200 Fly
- Constable, Kostin,
Spencer Hobbs and Grabowski worked together to take home the gold in the 400 Free Relay, earning a first place finish of 2:56.83 to close out the meet
