ORLANDO, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference released its 2026 Women's Cross Country Preseason Coaches Poll, with Lynn University projected to finish eighth at this year's championship meet.
The Fighting Knights collected 56 points in the poll, placing behind Barry and Saint Leo, who tied for sixth with 47 points apiece, and ahead of ninth-place Eckerd (60).
Tampa claimed the top spot with eight points and eight of the nine available first-place votes. Nova Southeastern was picked second with 16 points and received the remaining first-place vote, while Embry-Riddle rounded out the top three with 25 points.
Florida Southern was selected fourth with 32 points, narrowly ahead of fifth-place Palm Beach Atlantic, which collected 33.
Lynn enters the 2026 campaign looking to improve upon last season's eighth-place finish at the SSC Championship.
