Box Score BOCA RATON, Fla. – After a back-and-forth afternoon, the Lynn University baseball team came away with a walk-off hit against Adelphi University on Thursday afternoon, earning a 5-4 victory. Shortstop Miguel Ceballos played the hero after driving in the winning run in the bottom of the ninth.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- A double off the bat of Adelphi third baseman Brett Malm hugged the left field line and scored two runs in the first inning.
- Ceballos opened the home fifth with his third home run of the year, a solo shot to right center that cut the Panthers' lead in half.
- Eric Schindler followed with a double to left and crossed the plate when John Silviano singled three batters later.
- The Panthers again went on top in the seventh inning, taking advantage of a defensive mishap by the Fighting Knights.
- John Borup scored on a wild pitch in the home half to tie the game at 3-3.
- A sacrifice fly gave Adelphi its third lead of the game in the eighth inning.
- Silviano singled up the middle for the second time in the bottom of the ninth, sparking the Lynn rally.
- Frank Grandinette drew a walk, and Alex Turner replaced him on the basepaths.
- Ryan Donovan worked the count full before a pitch out of the zone loaded the bases, and Jonathon Corbitt drove in a run after being hit by a pitch.
- Ceballos sent a bouncer over second base to plate Turner from third, and the Fighting Knights came away with their first walk-off hit this season.

- "It was a battling type of day for our offense because we had to make some adjustments on their pitchers. They made us work and earn our runs. It was really nice to see both of our pitchers be aggressive in the zone. Both Rigo and Wake looked comfortable and attacked the zone well. STATS FROM THE GAME:
- Silviano and Ceballos each tallied three hits for the afternoon while the latter was the only Fighting Knight to drive in more than one run.
- Right fielder Eric Schindler added a pair of base knocks.
- Left-hander Rigo Beltran gave Lynn five strong innings on the mound, allowing two runs on four base hits while fanning six.
- Jonathon Wake tossed the final four chapters and surrendered just one earned run en route to his second win of the year.
- Malm posted a 2-for-3 effort at the dish for Adelphi and recorded two RBI.
- Four Panthers teamed up to toss 8.2 innings, but it was Michael Tarpey that took the loss.
