BOCA RATON, Fla. - Lynn University baseball pitcher Andrew Ravelo has signed a professional contract with the Yuba-Sutter Freebirds of the Pioneer League, continuing his baseball career at the professional level.
 
A native of Lakewood, California, Ravelo appeared in 17 games with nine starts during the 2026 season for the Fighting Knights. The 6-foot-4 right-hander logged 50.0 innings, posting a 3-4 record while holding opponents to a .235 batting average.
 
Ravelo turned in several strong performances throughout the season, including a 5.2-inning outing against Barry in which he surrendered just two hits and one earned run while striking out three to earn the victory. He also fired five innings of one-run baseball at Rollins and tossed four scoreless innings over his first three collegiate appearances.
 
Throughout the year, Ravelo demonstrated his versatility by working both as a starter and out of the bullpen, making 17 appearances while ranking among Lynn's leaders in innings pitched. He finished the season with 24 strikeouts and helped the Fighting Knights to a 23-win campaign in one of the nation's toughest conferences.
 
The Yuba-Sutter Freebirds compete in the Pioneer League, an MLB Partner League that has become one of the premier destinations for professional players looking to continue their careers and advance to affiliated baseball.
 
Ravelo becomes the latest Fighting Knight to reach the professional ranks, further adding to Lynn baseball's tradition of developing talent capable of competing at the next level.
