- After a miscommunication in the outfield, Panther right fielder Daniel Spzik came in to score the ballgame's first run.

- Lynn struck again an inning later, when Borup beat out an infield single and scored a runner from third.
- With two outs and a runner at second in the top of the ninth, Curtis threw a ball wide of first baseman Ryan Donovan, and Florida Tech scored the tying run.
- After a leadoff single off the bat of Alex Turner, Curtis turned an 0-2 pitch into two runs to make up for the defensive mishap.
- Vermillion turned in his best performance of the year, scattering six hits over 5.2 frames while fanning seven and allowing one unearned run.
- Left-hander Rigo Beltran was the first man out of the Lynn bullpen, surrendering just one hit over the next 2.1 innings.
- Payton Smith tossed the ninth for the Blue and White and earned the win after Curtis' big swing.
