HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Rigo Beltran retired the first three Wildcat hitters of the day and designated hitter Frank Grandinette doubled down the left field line in the home half to put Lynn on top 1-0.
- With the bases loaded and nobody out in the second, Austin Sprinkle's flyout to center was enough to push the lead to 2-0.
- John Borup doubled in another run and Donovan Christman followed with a triple to give the Blue and White a 4-0 advantage.
- A defensive blunder in the top of the third allowed the Wildcats to score their lone run of the contest.
- Grandinette again doubled to start the fifth and Tyler Curtis singled him home two batters later. Eric Schindler added a sac fly before the inning ended and Lynn led 6-1 after five frames.
- The sixth inning proved to be the final scoring stanza as the home nine scratched across three more insurance runs.
QUOTABLE:
- "Today was a game where we had to throw a lot guys and they took advantage of their opportunities. We were able to be very efficient today because our guys worked down in the zone and ahead in the count. We're focusing on having good at bats every time we go to the plate and putting pressure on the defense." – Lynn head coach Rudy Garbalosa
