HOW IT HAPPENED:

- The Fighting Knights hit the run column first, as a Kyle Schindler solo shot had the offense off and running early.
- Tyler Curtis dialed long distance to start the second inning, and a John Borup sac fly extended the lead to 3-0.
- Embry-Riddle's bats awakened in the third, as the Eagles posted their first of five three-run innings behind after combining four hits with two Lynn errors.
- The home nine responded with a three-spot of its own in the bottom of the third due to consecutive RBI hits from Eric Schindler, Ryan Donovan, and Curtis.
- Another three lit up the scoreboard a frame later when Embry-Riddle tied the game at six.
- Lynn went back in front in the home half when John Silviano smashed a towering two-run shot to right.
- A solo dinger and two unearned runs gave the Eagles their first lead of the night in the sixth inning.
- Donovan left the yard for the 11th time this season in the seventh to again pull the Fighting Knights even with their guests.
- The visitors scratched across three in the top of the eighth, but the Blue and White refused to go quietly in the next half-inning.
- Turner opened the stanza with a bomb, and each of the next two Fighting Knights reached base before Kyle Schindler's sac bunt moved them both over.
- Eric Schindler later drew a bases loaded walk, and Curtis by putting a 1-0 pitch into the trees beyond left field for a grand slam.
- Down 15-12 heading to the final chapter, the Eagles stormed back with yet another three-run inning in their half of the ninth.
- Turner wasted no time in the home half, again leading off the inning with a long ball that helped Lynn escape the series opener with a win.
