Box Score Emerson, Ga. – The Lynn University baseball team put up a lot of runs, and early, downing the Clark Atlanta Panthers on Thursday night, 15-5. The Fighting Knights scored 10 runs in the first four innings, while Blue and White starter, Victor Danza, earned his first win of the season, giving up only one unearned run in his limited outing.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Danza got the starting nod for the first time this season, but was working with a limited pitch count. The newcomer pitched lights out for three complete innings, giving up one hit with one unearned run and two strikeouts. JR Hilcher and Alec Hernandez worked an inning a piece, and neither gave up a run. Other pitchers to make appearances were Philip Quinn and Connor Davis.
- DJ Daniels, Jake Rouse, Jonathan Corbitt, and Gabe Martinez all recorded two hits in the contest. Also with base knocks for the Fighting Knights were Patrick Dorrian, Ben Fagan (first of the year), Jarren Pinkney, Frank Grandinette and Karl Ellison.
- The bats were able to make consistent contact all night, as three of the five Panther pitchers gave up four earned runs, and only one was able to put up a goose egg.
- Lynn outscored Clark Atlanta, 10-1 after the first four innings, and the pitching staff only gave up runs in three of the nine innings while in the field.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- 15 runs, as well as 13 hits, are new season-highs for the Fighting Knights.
- Three of the five pitchers used never gave up an earned run, and the work was delegated evenly with no one going more than 3.0 IP.
- This is the first neutral site victory of the year for the Blue and White.
- Corbitt and Rouse's five RBI is a season-high for each, and this is the first game this season for two hitters to knock in five in one game. (The duo knocked in 10 of the 15 Lynn runs)
- Martinez's three RBI is a season-high for the squad's first baseman.
- Ben Fagan (SS), Michael Buckley (DH) and Oscar Bustamante (2B) made their 2017 season debuts in the Blue and White.
