STATS OF THE GAME:

Game 1

  • Frank Grandinette started on the mound for the Blue and White, and the senior managed to go six complete innings, giving up five earned runs, trusted the defense to make plays behind him, and the offense to put up numbers. They came through and Grandinette earned his second win of the season on the mound.
  •  Jonathan Eisdorfer came in for the three-inning save, his first of the season. The Melville, N.Y. native gave up just one run on two hits in his seventh appearance of the year.
  • Pat Dorrian continues to produce at the top of the lineup, and on a consistant basis. He managed a 4-for-6 day at the plate with two RBI and two runs scored.
  • The trio of Karl Ellison, Jake Rouse and Gabe Martinez produced three hits apiece and combined for six RBI and five runs scored.
  • Miguel Ceballos, Tyler Curtis and DJ Daniels were able to grind out two hits at the plate to add to their stat line.

Game 2

  • A trio of Fighting Knights led the way at the plate in game two of the day, three of the series. Ellison, Grandinette and Rouse managed three baseknocks in the contest and accounted for four runs and two RBI.
  • Pinkney and Corbitt were close behind with two hits while four other members of the Blue and White recorded one hit in the home loss.
  • PBA's David Paul went head-to-head with Michael Imperato to begin the game on the mound. Both went five innings and gave up four earned runs, but it was the three unearned runs that Lynn gave up that proved to be the difference as Imperato fell to 1-3, while Paul stayed undefeated with a 4-0 record.

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

  • In both games, the losing team scored seven runs.
  • In the first game of the day, every member of the home team recorded at least one hit on the afternoon.
  • Lynn scored 31 runs in the weekend series, while giving up a combined 24.
