Box Score BOCA RATON, FLA. – The Lynn University baseball team utilized strong starting pitching from Connor Davis and late inning offense to secure the 6-3 nonconference victory on Tuesday afternoon by a score of 6-3.

STATS OF THE GAME:
- Connor Davis led the Fighting Knight charge on the mound, and made his first start of the 2017 season. The freshman now has a new career-high with 6.0 innings pitched and garnered his first victory in the Blue and White, giving up just one run on five hits.
- Jonathon Wake came in in the eighth, and held off the visiting team for 2.0 innings to gain his first save of the year.
- Pat Dorrian stayed hot at the plate, going 3-for-4 at the plate with two RBI, including a monster shot over the right field fence that extended the lead to 4-1 in the seventh inning.
- Jake Rouse and Frank Grandinette were the only other Fighting Knights with double digit hits. Seven of the nine members in the starting batting order recorded at least one base hit.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- After the victory, the Blue and White earned win number 10 at home.
- All starters managed to reach base safely, whether it be by error, walk or a hit.
- Ben Fagan recorded his first start of the 2017 campaign at second base.
- Dorrian's homerun is his fifth of the season. He now boasts a .429 average and 18 RBI on the year.
