Valdosta, Ga. – Lynn University's men's tennis squad sent four returning Fighting Knights from last year's starting lineup to represent the Blue and White at the 2017 ITA South Region Championships on Friday.

SINGLES DRAW:
First Round
- All four Fighting Knights competing received a bye in the opening round.
Second Round
- Two Fighting Knights posted singles victories in their first competitions of the new season.
- Kay Bartmann, the only seeded player for Lynn at No. 5, defeated FSC's Tim Becker, 6-4, 6-0.
- Jose Porfirio Ordonez had a battle with Atakan Gezer out of Rollins, holding strong to win in three sets.
- Both of Lynn's losses in singles came at the hands of seeded opponents.
DOUBLES DRAW:
First Round
- Both Fighting Knights squads received first-round byes.
Second Round
- Second-seeded Porfirio Ordonez and Florian Clemares posted an 8-4 victory against Palm Beach Atlantic.
- Bartmann and Tristan Houle secured an 8-5 triumph over a pair from Delta State.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- All four Fighting Knights competing this weekend were regulars in the starting lineup last spring.
- Clemares and Porfirio Ordonez went 1-1 as a doubles tandem during the spring last season. Bartmann and Houle paired together for the first time in their career.
