Lynn Tennis Postponed vs. West Florida Following Pair of 2-1 Leads

Valdosta, Ga. – Lynn University's men's and women's tennis teams were both ahead 2-1 over West Florida on Sunday through doubles play before weather halted the matches and forced a postponement.

It was an especially unfortunate break for the men's squad, as West Florida is ranked No. 1 in the country and are the defending national champions. Kay Bartmann and Jose Porfirio Ordonez won at No. 2 doubles, 8-3, while Gabriel Hocevar and Tristan Houle pulled out a clutch 9-7 at No. 3. The Argos won the top flight, 8-3.

For the women, the Fighting Knights won 8-3 in both the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches. Klaudia Boczova and Diana Bogolii formed Lynn's top squad with Eleonora Liga and Federica Mordegan playing at No. 3. Fifth-ranked UWF won the No. 2 doubles bout over Lynn, 8-6.

Make-up dates will be announced when available.
