STATS OF THE GAME:

  • The Fighting Knights offense started slow, going down 1-2-3 in each of the first three innings. Lynn then plated five runs on six hits in a momentum-swinging bottom of the fourth to grab a 5-3 advantage over the Lions.
  • Tyler Green was the only Fighting Knight to register a multi-hit performance in the game, going 2-for-4 on a pair of singles with an RBI. It is his second multi-hit outing of the season with both occurring over the past three games.
  • Willie Seay logged Lynn's lone score in the sixth with a leadoff solo home run. He went 1-for-2 on the day with a sacrifice fly in the fourth and took a pitch to the helmet in his last at-bat.
  • Shayne Fontana and Tom Archer led off the high-scoring fourth with a double and a single, respectively, before Pat Dorrian sent out an RBI double to right field.
  • Jake Rouse, Gabe Martinez and Joe Argumedo each knocked singles on the day to round out Lynn's nine hits.
  • Enrique Perez started on the mound and went six innings, fanning five batters. He allowed nine hits and four runs, all earned. His six innings and five strikeouts both tie his season-highs from his start vs. Miles.
  • Anthony Franco made his fourth appearance of the season before Daniel Nuzzi took the mound. Nuzzi struck out three Lions over 2.2 innings of work but is credited with the loss – his first of the season.

  • The fourth inning marked the third time this season that Lynn batted all the way around the lineup.
  • Seay ranks second on the squad with four home runs on the year.
  • All but one offensive player in the Lynn lineup recorded a hit in the game.
  • Saint Leo left plenty of scoring opportunity on the field as the squad posted a season-high 18 hits in the game. Their previous season-high was 13 in the season opener.
  • It was a rather clean game defensively for both sides with just one Lynn error in the 10th.
