STATS OF THE GAME:

  • Alec Ojeda had the only multi-hit game of the day for the Blue and White, collecting a pair of doubles in the contest while scoring a run.
  • Tyler Green drove in a pair of runs with a second-inning base hit, putting Lynn on top early by a score of 2-0.
  • Shayne Fontana reached base twice via walk and once via hit by pitch, scoring twice on the day.
  • Tom Archer had a hit and an RBI for the Fighting Knights, scoring Ojeda in the seventh inning to make it 3-2 in favor of Lynn at the time.
  • Rigo Beltran had the longest outing of any Lynn starting pitcher this season, turning in a quality start with 7.0 innings and only two earned runs allowed. He fanned seven batters and scattered just five hits with three walks.
  • Daniel Nuzzi tossed 0.2 scoreless innings in relief of Beltran before giving way to Enrique Perez for the final 1.1 innings. Perez picked up his third win of the season, allowing one run on one hit with a pair of strikeouts.
  • Each team had six hits and an error on the day, while Barry left eight runners on base to Lynn's five.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE:

  • Martinez's walk-off home run was Lynn's first since 2015, when Thomas Kain hit a two-run, walk-off shot against Florida Southern.
  • Archer now has the longest active hitting streak on the team at eight games after Fontana and Gabe Martinez saw their streaks come to an end with hitless days.
  •  Patrick Dorrian walked twice to extend his reached-base streak to 26 games to open the season.
  • Green now has eight multi-RBI games this season, tied with Dorrian for most on the team.
