SAINT PETERSBURG, Fla.– Lynn University's baseball team won its Sunshine State Conference (SSC) opener on the road 9-6 against Eckerd College on Friday night.

STATS OF THE GAME:

• Nicholis Prather pitched 5.2 strong innings, striking out four and surrendering two runs, both unearned.
• Danny Berg was 2-for-4 with three RBI, a walk and run scored. 
• Trevor Romeo scored two runs and had two hits, including an RBI single in the third.
• Lynn scored six runs in the third innings and two more in the fourth to go ahead 8-2 after four. 

BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:

• This is Lynn's fifth game this season with double-digit hits.
• Prather won last season's SSC opener at Saint Leo.
