Ericsson wins SSC Golfer of the Week for the second time

Boca Raton, Florida - Sara Ericsson has been named the SSC Golfer of the Week after winning the Legends Invitational. This is the second time this season that Ericsson has been named the Golfer of the Week. She previously earned the award for a second-place finish at the DBU Women's Classic.

In last week's tournament, Ericsson was the only player to post a round lower than 70 when she shot a 68 on the opening day. She ended the event with a final score of 215 (-1), one stroke better than Alice Gotbring from Barry. 

Ericsson led the field in par 4 scoring (-3), shooting five strokes better than the three golfers tied for second. She also finished tied for fourth in par 5 scoring, and she recorded nine birdies and 37 pars.

The women's golf team will be back in action in the Spring when they will look to build off their Fall success on their quest for a conference and national championship.
