Boca Raton, Florida – Julia Chan Quee Lin won two events, but it wasn't enough for the Fighting Knights to upset the 12th-ranked Sharks.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Chan Queen Lin narrowly won the 200-yard free, swimming a time of 1:42.20 and defeating the challenger from Nova Southeastern by .34 seconds. He would go on to win the 100-yard butterfly later in the event with a time of 51.51.
• The wins by Chan Quee Lin were the only ones for the Fighting Knights on the day, but they did manage to pull out a few second and third-place finishes.
• Josh Fountain finished second in the 1000-yard free with a time of 10:03.65.
• Dalton Brown (22.23) and Ignacio Alvarez (22.41) finished second and third in the 50-yard free to pick up seven points for the Fighting Knights.
• Brown would go on to finish second in the 100-yard free. His time of 47.87 was less than one second slower than the winner.
• Thomas Labarias finished third in the 100-yard back with a time of 55.16.
• In the 100-yard breast, Daniel Varon (1:00.25) and Ignacio Alvarez (1:00.37) finished second and third, just touching before the fourth-place finisher in the race.
• The Fighting Knights finished second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:37.05) and third in the 200-yard free relay (1:29.42). 

NEXT MEET:
The Fighting Knights will compete in the Panther Invite at FIU next weekend. The first events are set to begin on Friday, Nov. 19.
