STATS OF THE MATCH (GAME 1):
- The Fighting Knights were slow out of the gate and fell behind early in the first set. They turned it on late, but it wasn't enough to overcome Pittsburg St.'s lead.
- The second set was a different story. The Fighting Knights opened up a lead early and never once relinquished it as they evened the score up at 1-1.
- From there, Lynn never looked back. As the sets wore on, the Fighting Knights started to play progressively better. They won the final two sets 25-21 and 25-20.
- Nadia Lindner, Odom, and Victoria Macaluso led the way on the offensive end, with each of them recording double-digit kills. Lindner connected on 12 of her 19 attempts for a kill percentage of 52.6%.
- Ruth Zijlstra recorded 20 digs in the win, accounting for nearly half of Lynn's 48.
- Emily Edwards led the way with 25 assists, while Adrianna Casados recorded 21 of her own.
- In all, five Fighting Knights scored double-digit points, with Odom leading the way with 15.5.
- Udovcic recorded eight kills in the match, which tied her for the most in a career in Lynn University history. Being tied atop the ranking was short-lived.
STATS OF THE MATCH (GAME 2):
- Game one left Odom and Udovcic with career records in their sights. Odom entered the game needing four total blocks and eight block assists to break the all-time record in each category. Not only did Odom surpass both of those marks, but she managed to set another school record for most blocks in a single match, recording 15 in the four-set game.
- Odom now holds records for most total blocks in a career (344), most block assists in a career (281), and the aforementioned category of blocks in a single match.
- Udovcic didn't waste any time recording her record-breaking kill, doing so in the first set. She would go on to record 10 in the game. Both Udovcic and Odom have nearly an entire season to continue to add to their career records.
- While records falling are always going to garner attention, Macaluso and Zijlstra played phenomenal games. Macaluso led the team with 14 kills, while Zijlstra recorded 20 digs for the second game in a row.
- Edwards once again led the team in assists with 24, while Casados recorded 19.
- Lynn once again got out to a slow start, dropping the first set in dramatic fashion. But after that, they turned it up to another level, beating Quincy handily over the next three sets. In the fourth and final set, Lynn jumped out to a 10-2 lead and never once looked back, holding Quincy to single-digits.
