BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference released its 2022-23 men's basketball preseason poll on Tuesday, with the Lynn men's team ranked 10
th (21 total votes). The Fighting Knights' 21 votes were three ahead of Eckerd. Nova Southeastern received 99 votes, including nine first-place. The Sharks are the favorites following an undefeated 20-0 SSC season in 2021-22. Overall, the school finished with a 31-1 record. Barry University (87, one first-place vote) ranked second.
Lynn finished last season with an 11-13 record, but ended the season on a high note with a 93-70 victory over SSC foe Rollins. The team tips off the 2022-23 season on Nov. 7 with an exhibition game at Florida Atlantic, and play their first home game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 12 against Johnson University.

Jeff Price brings nine freshmen to the Fighting Knights for the 2022-23 campaign, with all but two being Florida natives.
Jamison Evans and
Braxton Bartlett, junior guards, are two of four returnees to the squad along with sophomore guards
Montez Leath and
Koby Pelissier.
