HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The Bobcats struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning.
  • It didn't take long for the Fighting Knights to get on top, as they scored two in the third inning. Brandon Kruzinski led off the inning with a single. Matt Archer then drove him in with a double. That double was followed by a Byron Murray double that gave Lynn their first lead of the game. They would head into the fourth inning with the score 2-1.
  • In the third inning, Nathan Draves relieved Marvin Guzman and he prevented the Bobcats from scoring any runs. Drew Clark pitched the fourth and fifth innings, giving up zero hits during that span.
  • With two outs in the sixth inning, Yuzuki Okamura added an insurance run when he drove in Ryan Ford. After Tal Erel was hit by a pitch in the next at bat, Kruzinski drove Okamura in to make the score 4-1.
  • The Bobcats were able to score two in the next inning to get it back to a one-run game, but the Fighting Knights were about to blow open the contest.
  • Archer continued his hot hitting in the top of the seventh when he hit a leadoff home run to give Lynn a 5-3 lead. It was the first of nine runs in the inning for the Fighting Knights.
  • After Archer's home run, Murray and Daniel Alfonso hit singles. This was followed by a single from Anthony Sanabria which scored Murray and extended the lead to 6-3.
  • Joe Encarnacion laid down a sac bunt, then Okamura walked which loaded the bases for Tal Erel.
  • Erel reached on an error by the first baseman, and Alfonso scored to make the score 7-3.
  • Kruzinski then drove in Sanabria, which was then followed by an Anthony Orrico single which made the game 9-3.
  • Batting for the second time in the inning, Archer grounded out but was able to drive in Erel to make the score 10-3.
  • Murray followed it up by blasting his third home run of the season.
  • The Fighting took the 13-3 lead into the bottom of the seventh and never looked back.
  • In the top of the ninth, Alfonso drove in the 14th Fighting Knight run.
  • Murray finished the game with four RBIs, the second time he has done so this season. He has recorded an RBI in six of Lynn's eight games.
  • Archer finished the game with three RBIs for the second time this season. He has recorded at least one RBI in every game except one this season.
