Box Score St. Augustine, Florida – The Fighting Knights hit four home runs, as they defeated the Royals of Queens (N.C.) 6-4 in their first game of the Flagler Invitational. They were supposed to then take on Flagler at 8 p.m., but the game was rained out in the bottom of the first inning.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Fighting Knights' bats came to life as they hammered four home runs, including two from Janelle Dominguez.
- The Royals got the scoring started in the bottom of the first inning when Jordan Hunt hit an RBI double. The lead would prove to be short-lived.
- In the top of the second inning, Monique Poitevin hit her first home run as a Fighting Knight, driving in Brittney Davis to give Lynn the 2-1 lead. The Fighting Knights would never trail again.
- Davis hit a solo home run in the top of the fourth to give Lynn some breathing room.
- In the bottom of the fifth, the Royals pulled within one, but in the top of the next inning, Dominguez blasted her first home run of the game.
- Later in that inning, Aryana Galioto walked with the bases loaded to grow the lead to 5-2.
- The Royals would cut the lead to just one when Hunt hammered a two-run homer to left-center in the bottom of the sixth.
- However, Dominguez gave Lynn some insurance when she hit her second home run of the game.
- Davis finished the game a perfect 3-3, scoring two runs and earning an RBI.
- Faith Miller picked up her second win in as many days, as she pitched five innings, striking out two and giving up three earned runs.
- In relief, Josey Sumpter pitched 1.2 innings, giving up three hits and an unearned run.
- Madison Prickett earned her first save as a Fighting Knight, as she closed out the game to send the Fighting Knights to 2-1 on the season.
UP NEXT:
If the weather cooperates tomorrow, the Fighting Knights will face Georgia Southwestern at 12:30 p.m. before taking on Flagler at 3 p.m.
