HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the first, the Fighting Knights answered when Byron Murray laced one into center field to score Anthony Orrico. It was Murray's seventh RBI of the young season, and it would not be the last time he would do damage against the Ichabods.
- Washburn retook the lead in the top of the fourth inning when Zion Bowlin hit a solo home run.
- Down 2-1 in the bottom of the fifth, Anthony Sanabria doubled to left field to score Murray and tie the game at 2-2.
- In the sixth inning, the Fighting Knights' bats really came to life, as they scored three runs to take a 5-2 lead. It began when Matt Archer singled to score DJ Flowers. Murray then recorded his second RBI of the game, once again scoring Orrico. The third run was scored when Archer scored on a wild pitch.
- In the bottom of the seventh Joseph Rosselli scored an insurance run to give Lynn a 6-2 lead.
- In the ninth, the Ichabods reached base, and they scored once, but ultimately, Lynn reliever Jake Buxbaum was able to get out of a jam and send Lynn to 4-0.
- Despite not earning the win, Drew Dwyer pitched a great 5.0 innings for the Fighting Knights. He gave up four hits and two runs, only one of which was earned. He also struck out four.
- The bullpen was solid as Drew Clark earned the victory after 2.0 innings of work. He and Buxbaum combined for 4.0 innings and allowed just four hits and one unearned run.
- Murray finished the game 3-6 with two RBIs and a run scored. He is currently second in the SSC with RBIs. Archer is tied for eighth with five.
- Tal Erel got his first start of the season at catcher, and he threw out two runners, one attempting to steal second and one who was too slow to get back to first.
