Box Score Boca Raton, Florida – The Fighting Knights would use a Daniel Alfonzo grand slam to shut the door on any comeback attempt, rolling over the owls 10-1.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nate Shane received his seventh start of the season against Southern Connecticut State.
- The Fighting Knights would be held scoreless in the first inning, but in the bottom of the second inning, Lynn would take a 1-0 lead.
- Daniel Alfonzo would get the first hit of the inning with a double down the left line. A few at-bats later Joseph Encarnacion hit a single to the shortstop to bring home Alfonzo for the first run of the game.
- In the top of the third inning Shane retired the side in the first three at-bats, with two strikeouts for the first two outs of the inning.
- The Owls would score one run in the fourth inning to make it 1-1 heading into the fifth inning.
- Lynn would respond in the bottom of the sixth inning, scoring two runs to make it a 3-1 Fighting Knight lead.
- Peter Avino blasted a single down the left line for the leadoff hit of the inning for Lynn in the sixth inning. The very next at-bat Murray would smash a double down the left line, putting both runners in scoring position.
- Alfonzo would drive home Avino with a single to right field. Anthony Sanabria would bring home his own run with a single to left field, giving Lynn a 3-1 lead after six.
- Shane went three up and three down in the top of the seventh inning, striking out the batter swinging for the final out of the inning.
- In the bottom of the seventh the Fighting Knights got into a rhythm scoring six runs in the inning. Three straight batters were walked by the Owls to start the inning, loading the bases with one out in the inning. The very next at-bat Alfonzo crushed a grand slam to left field bringing home four of six runs for Lynn in the seventh.
- Alfonzo would blast a second home run to left field with his very next at-bat in the eighth inning to extend the Lynn lead 10-1.
- Shane was relieved at the start of the ninth inning for Jake Buxbaum. Shane finished the game with six strikeouts and only one run allowed in the game.
- In the top of the ninth Buxbaum would secure a 10-1 victory for the Fighting Knights with a strikeout on the final batter of the game.
- Alfonzo would lead the way offensively for the Fighting Knights with a team-high four hits and six RBIs in the game. Alfonzo would also hit back-to-back home runs in the seventh and eighth inning to help stretch the Lynn lead.
- Avino was spectacular for the Fighting Knights as well with three hits in four at-bats.
