Box Score Boca Raton, Florida – The Fighting Knights use big plays in the eighth inning to secure a 7-5 victory over Cedarville.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Marvin Guzman received his fifth start of the season against Cedarville.
- Cedarville would come out strong in the first two innings, taking an early 2-0 lead over Lynn.
- In the third inning Lynn would get things going offensively. Brandon Kruzinski smashed a single to center field to get the inning started. In the very next at-bat, Anthony Orrico hits a single to first base, putting a runner in scoring position.
- Guzman picked up back-to-back strikeouts to finish a three-up three-down inning for the Fighting Knights.
- Matt Archer would blast a single right after, bringing home Orrico for the first run of the game for Lynn. Yuzuki Okamura belted a single to left field to bring Archer home, and tie the game 2-2 going into the fourth inning.
- The Fighting Knights would take their first lead of the game in the bottom of the fourth inning. Joseph Encarnacion blasted a homerun shot to left field to give Lynn a 3-2 lead after four.
- Jose Martinez would relieve Guzman at the beginning of the sixth inning. Guzman finished with eight strikeouts while allowing five hits, and two runs in the game.
- Cedarville would hit a home run of their own regain a 4-3 lead heading into the bottom of the sixth inning.
- The Fighting Knights would respond in a strong fashion with two-run of their own to retake a 5-4 lead. with two outs in the inning, Encarnacion hit a double to right field to put himself in scoring position.
- Kruzinski in the very next at-bat smashed a double to right field to bring home the tying run, then Orrico hit a single to center field to bring home Kruzinski.
- Jake Buxbaum would come to relieve Martinez at the beginning of the eighth inning.
- Cedarville would hit a home run in the inning to tie the game 5-5 going into the bottom of the eighth.
- Lynn came up big with two runs in the bottom of the eighth to break the tie and take a 7-5 lead. Kruzinski singled to center field to get on base for Lynn, followed by an Archer double that put them both in scoring position.
- Byron Murray would blast a double to right field, bringing home Archer and Kruzinski to end the inning.
- Buxbaum would throw two of his three strikeouts in the ninth inning to seal the 7-5 victory for the Fighting Knights, while also picking up his second win of the season for Lynn.

The Fighting Knights game against Cedarville tomorrow will be canceled. Lynn will be back home to take on Stonehill on Wednesday, Mar. 9 at 2:30 p.m.
