Boca Raton, Florida – A complete avalanche by the Fighting Knights with eight runs in the sixth inning propelled them past Stonehill 10-3

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Nate Shane picked up his first start of the season for the Fighting Knights.
• In the very first inning, Shane was looking comfortable, going three up and three down to retire the side.
• Shane would strike out two batters swinging to hold Stonehill scoreless going into the fifth inning. 
• Both teams would struggle in the early going with Stonehill having the only hits of the game through four innings.
• In the top of the fifth Stonehill would scratch for the first time and take a 1-0 lead going into the bottom of the fifth.
• Stonehill would come back one inning later with a solo shot home run to left field to make it a 2-0 advantage.
• Drew Clark came in to relieve Shane at the start of the sixth inning. Shane finished with five strikeouts and allowed four hits in five innings.
• The Fighting Knights finally got their bats popping with eight runs scored in the bottom of the sixth inning. 
• Joseph Rosselli was walked in the first at-bat of the sixth to help gain momentum for Lynn. Matt Archer would hit a single to left field in the very next at-bat, moving Rosselli into scoring position.
• A series of Stonehill errors helped the Fighting Knights bring in their first two runs of the game. 
• Later in the inning Byron Murray came in to pinch hit for Lynn and was walked immediately. Yuzuki Okamura smashed a double down the left line to bring home two more runs and take a 4-2 lead with one out in the inning.
• The Fighting Knights would not stop there, as a wild pitch brings home Murray to help extend the Lynn lead 5-2. Right After Brandon Kruzinski would hit a single to center field to bring in the sixth run of the inning for the Fighting Knights.
• A double by Archer brought home the final two runs of the inning for the Fighting Knights who had an 8-2 advantage going into the seventh.
• Stonehill would try to put a dent in the lead, but would only score one run the rest of the way.
• The final two runs for the Fighting Knights were gifted by Stonehill late in the game, as the Fighting Knights take home a 10-3 victory.
• Archer would lead the way for the Fighting Knights with two hits and two RBIs. Okamura had a solid outing as well with one hit, two RBIs, and one run scored for the game.
• Rosselli was doing a great job as he was working the bases with a team-high two runs in the game.
