HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1):
- In the first inning, the offense was hard to come by for both teams. In the top of the second Daniel Alfonzo hit a lead-off single through the left side to start the inning for Lynn.
- Anthony Sanabria followed that up with a single of his own to put Alfonzo in scoring position. Peter Avino would hit a single down the left line later in the inning to bring home the first run of the game to take a 1-0 lead.
- In the bottom of the second, the Mocs would match Lynn with a run of their own to tie the game 1-1.
- In the bottom of the fifth and sixth inning Florida Southern would score two runs to make it a 3-1 lead.
- The Fighting Knights made a valiant effort in the ninth inning but left the game leading runs on base losing to the Mocs 3-1.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2):
- Both teams would come out the gates slow, with no runs being scored until the top of the third inning. Joseph Encarnacion would get things going with a lead-off single to right field for the Fighting Knights.
- Anthony Orrico would hit a single of his own with the very next at-bat, then Anthony Sanabria followed it up with a single through the left side.
- After a fly-out by Lynn Daniel Alfonzo smashed a single to right-center field to bring home the first run of the game to take a 1-0 lead.
- Lynn would only give up two runs to the Mocs in the fifth and seventh inning to take a 2-1 lead.
- Defensively the Fighting Knights did everything they could but they could not materialize enough offense as they lose to Florida Southern 2-1.
