Game 2 Final: Lynn 13 Embry-Riddle 10

HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 1):
- The first inning was quiet with both teams leaving runners on base in the inning. At the top of the second is when the offense got kickstarted with four runs in the second for Embry-Riddle.
- In the bottom of the second Peter would hit a single to the shortstop to lead off the inning for the Fighting Knights. Ryan Ford and Pedro Martinez were walked to have the bases loaded with zero outs.
- A sacrifice fly by Anthony Orrico brought home the first and only run of the inning for Lynn. The Fighting Knights would go into the top of the third inning down 4-1 to the Eagles.
- Marcus Eusebio would have two of his five strikeouts in the top of the third to give Lynn momentum, as they go up to bat in the bottom of the third.
- A seven-run explosion that was capped off by a Byron Murray grand slam gave the Fighting Knights their first lead of the game 8-4. Joseph Rosselli and Orrico also had big hits in the inning that added runs to the board for Lynn.
- In the final seven innings, the Eagles would outscore Lynn 7-1 to seal an 11-9 win.
HOW IT HAPPENED (GAME 2):
- The top of the first saw the Eagles scratch first to take a 1-0 lead going into the second inning.
- With the very first at-bat in the second inning, Ryan Ford smashed a home run to center field for the first run of the game for Lynn. The Fighting Knights would reel off two more hits in a row to take a 2-1 lead.
- Byron Murray would single to center field to put Brandon Kruzinski at third, who was walked earlier in the inning.
- A groundball double play made by the Eagles allowed Kruzinski to score for Lynn in the inning.
- The third inning was split 1-1 by both sides, with the Fighting Knights taking a 3-2 lead going into the fourth inning.
- Embry-Riddle had an impressive three-run fourth inning that included a home run to left field.
- Anthony Sanabria with a single to right field to start the inning put a jolt of energy into the Fighting Knights. Joseph Rosselli would hit a triple shortly after to bring home two runs, then a wild pitch allowed Rosselli to score the third run of the inning.
- Kruzinski would triple to center field after Orrico was walked to add the fourth and final run of the inning.
- The Fighting Knights topped the Eagles with four runs in the bottom of the fourth to keep their one-run advantage.
- Both teams would play each other even in the fifth in the sixth inning, with them both combining for four runs as the Fighting Knights keep their slim one-run advantage.
- In the bottom of the seven Kruzinski belted a double to left to lead off the inning, then Murray was hit by a pitch to put a runner in scoring position. Sanabria would have the only other hit in the inning bringing home two runs for the Fighting Knights.
- Two runs in the seventh inning by Lynn proved to be all they needed to secure a 13-10 victory over the Eagles.
