Boca Raton, Florida - The Lynn University women's lacrosse team has been named a 2022 Academic Honor Squad by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association. The Fighting Knights were among 398 teams to qualify for the honor across Division I, II, III, and NAIA.
In order to qualify for the honor, the Fighting Knights had to achieve a team GPA of 3.2 or higher for the entire academic year.
In addition to the team's success, six individuals were named to the 2022 Division II Academic Honor Roll. The individuals honored were Grace Alexander, Isabella Clark, Delaney Gould, Mackinsey Hamer, Carolyn Stein and Ginger Stein. Each of these players was either a junior, senior or graduate student and achieved a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or higher. In all, 517 student-athletes from 68 different institutions were chosen.
Last season, the first two Fighting Knights in program history were chosen to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll, including Hamer who becomes the first player to earn this honor twice as a Fighting Knight.
