BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Lynn University men's basketball program currently has four alumni playing professionally:
Christian Peevy ('21) plays for KK Alkar of the Croatian Premier League,
Rasheed Worrell ('19) plays for Atletico Puerto Varas of the LNB Chile,
Cameron Gaines ('21) plays for Huelva Comercio in Spain's Liga EBA, and
Jordan Allen (Class of 21) plays for the Cleveland Charge of the NBA G-League.
In his two seasons at Lynn (2019-20 & 2021-22), Peevy appeared in 49 games and started in 48. In an average of 31.8 MPG, Peevy averaged 18.3 PPG, posted 7.6 RPG and 2.0 APG, shooting 51.2% from the field, 33% from three and 86.2% from the free throw line. These impressive numbers earned Peevy the accolades of All-Newcomer Team in 19-20 along with being named to the All-SSC Second Team in both seasons.
After spending his rookie season in Hong Kong, Peevy recently signed with KK Alkar and has already appeared in one game this season. In his debut in the Croatian Premier League, Peevy played 13 minutes and scored three free throws on four attempts, also adding three total rebounds.
Worrell, a two-year player for Lynn in 2017-18 & 2018-19, appeared in 59 games and started 57. In his two years, Worrell averaged 26.6 MPG, scored 9.1 PPG, picked up 6.8 RPG and 1.2 BPG. Shooting 51.8% from the field and 50% from beyond the arc, Worrell was a key player in the team's 2018-19 success, where the men ranked 18
th in the nation and made it to the Sweet 16 of the NCAA Division II Tournament.
In his 2021-22 campaign with the Tromso Storm in Norway, Worrell played and started in 29 games and averaged 35.1 minutes a night. He averaged a double-double with 16.2 PPG and 10.7 RPG, along with 3.7 APG, a steal and a block per game. Having signed with Puerto Varas in January, Worrell is now averaging 9.0 PPG and 8.0 RPG in 22.5 minutes of action per game.
In his two seasons at Lynn (2019-20 & 2021-22), Gaines appeared in 46 games and started in 42. Gaines averaged 26.7 MPG, scored 8.3 PPG, grabbed 6.7 REB and 2.2 BPG. He shot 52.9% from the field and 37.0% from beyond the arc.
Having just signed with Huelva Comercio, Gaines has appeared in six games this season. In 19.3 MPG, Gaines is averaging 8.3 PPG, 5.3 REB as well as 1.7 BPG. Gaines is currently shooting 68% from the field and 87.5% from the line.
In his lone season at Lynn (2019-20), Allen appeared in 25 games and started in 24. Allen averaged 30.0 MPG, scoring 18.4 PPG, grabbing 6.5 REB, and 1.8 APG. Shooting 41.1% from the field, 37.0% from the beyond the arc and 80.8% from the free throw line, Allen scored a career-high 37 points and was the NCAA DII statistical champion in 2019-20 for three-pointers made per game (3.88).
Allen had an exceptional 2021-22 season with the Cleveland Charge, the G-League affiliate of the Cleveland Cavaliers, averaging 19.0 PPG in 32.5 MPG. This season, Allen is averaging 10 minutes a game, scoring 3.8 PPG, 1.2 REB and 0.4 AST PPG.
