INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Senior Luna Mertins captured her fifth All-American honor of the 2022-23 NCAA Swimming Championships, Friday evening. As a team, the Fighting Knights sit in sixth place at the NCAA Championships.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Mertins captured sixth place in the 200-yard butterfly for her fifth All-American honor as she posted a time of 2:00.91
- Sophomore Laura Dekoninck was 11^th in the 100 backstroke in 55.10
- Graduate student Karolina Smylek was 14^th in the 100 backstroke in 55.25
- Senior Malek Masmoudi was 26^th in the 500 freestyle prelims in 4:32.70
- The 200 freestyle relay team of Dekoninck, graduate Helga Fodor, junior Olivia Flack aand sophomore Mathilde Bartolini finished in 13^th place in 1:33.52
 
The fifth and final day of the NCAA Championships begins tomorrow at 10:00 am with nine events.
