EVANSVILLE, Ind. - The Lynn University swim teams continued their historic week on Friday at the NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships, highlighted by senior
Maurice Grabowski capturing his third national championship of the meet while
Max Tsyfarov delivered a runner-up finish in the 100 breaststroke and
Vitaly Kostin added a third-place podium finish in the 200 butterfly. Multiple Fighting Knights also secured All-American honors in another strong showing for the Blue and White.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Grabowski):
- Grabowski secured his third individual national championship of the 2026 NCAA Championships with a first-place time of 45.78 in the 100 backstroke
- The senior trimmed 0.73 seconds off his preliminary time of 46.51 in the finals
- Grabowski now owns three individual national titles, and one relay championship at this year's championships and continues to add to his historic career for the Fighting Knights
- His time of 45.78 is also a new SSC record as he has set four different SSC records this meet alone
HOW IT HAPPENED (Fri. Finals):

Malaika Schneider earned second team All-American honors in the 100 breaststroke, finishing 13th overall with a time of 1:02.11 after improving from her 1:02.59 entry time

Vitaly Kostin secured first team All-American honors in the 200 butterfly with a third-place finish, touching the wall at 1:44.66

Lydia Douthit added another first team All-American performance in the 200 butterfly, placing eighth with a time of 2:01.23

Max Tsyfarov earned First Team All-America honors with a second-place finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, touching the wallin 51.83 seconds

Paul Melcer earned second team All-America honors with a 15th-place finish in the 100 butterfly, recording a time of 48.19 in the finals after splitting 23.02 at the halfway point
- The men's 200 freestyle relay team of Kostin,
Enzo Constable, Mercer, and Brady Moore finished 10th in the finals, clocking a 1:19.02
HOW IT HAPPENED: (Fri. Prelims):

Luz Tapia finished 30th in the 400 individual medley prelims, posting a time of 5:05.76 after opening in 27.68 and reaching 57.81 at the 100 mark
- De Santis placed 20th in the 200 freestyle prelims, touching the wall in 2:04.64 with splits of 28.10 and 59.12
