CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association announced the Division II All-Region teams and Regional Coaches of the Year on Wednesday and top-ranked Lynn University received four award winners.
Junior Sara Ericsson, graduate student Maria Hoyos and freshman Isabelle Schlick were named to the WGCA All-South Region Team, while Fighting Knight head coach Keith Larson was named the south region's Coach of the Year.
Larson, the 2023 Sunshine State Conference Coach of the Year, led the Fighting Knights to the No. 1 national ranking with nine wins, including the NCAA South Region Championship. Lynn has won its last four tournaments and is currently in fourth place at the 2023 NCAA National Championships.
Ericsson is second in the GolfStat rankings with an adjusted scoring average of 72.71 and she boasts a comparative record of 817-3. Ericsson was a First Team All-SSC selection for the second consecutive season and she has one win with six top-five finishes this season.
Hoyos, the 2023 SSC Golfer of the Year and first-team honoree, is currently the top ranked player with a 71.99 adjusted scoring average according to GolfStat. She has a comparative record of 820-0 with five wins this season.
Schlick, a Second Team All-SSC selection, has an adjusted scoring average on GolfStat of 73.92 with a comparative record of 786-34. She led the Fighting Knights with a third-place finish at the NCAA South Regional Championship.
