PENSACOLA, Fla. – The D2CCA All-South Region Men's Basketball Teams have been announced and Lynn University sophomore
Nordin Kapic was selected to the Second Team.
Kapic was one of 10 players named all-region after he garnered a First Team All-Sunshine State Conference honoree a week ago.
Kapic finished the season ranked third in the SSC in scoring (19.3), fifth in rebounding (9.2), eighth in FG% (50.1) and 10
th in blocked shots (1.0).
A native of Vienna, Austria, Kapic closed the season by hitting the 1,000-point/500-rebound plateau for his career in the SSC Tournament semifinals against No. 1 ranked Nova Southeastern. In just two years, Kapic has totaled 1,003 points and 507 rebounds, while shooting 51.7 percent from the field.
Kapic scored 20 or more points in 14 games this season, including a career-high 42 in a win over Tampa. The 42 points are the second-most in a single game in program history.
The Fighting Knights finished the season at 17-11 overall.
