ORLANDO, Fla. – The Lynn University women's golf team had its season come to end against Findlay in the quarterfinals of the 2024 Division II NCAA Championship, Friday. The match finished in a tie at 2-2-1, but Findlay advanced to the semifinals based on total strokes, 374-377.
Lynn finished the 54-hole stroke play portion of the championship in fourth place at +1, 865.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lynn started the match against the Oilers on the No. 10 tee
- Freshman
Amelia Ruiz Topali was the second to tee off for the Fighting Knights and she shot a +4, 76, to win her match by four strokes over Erin Mulcahy
- Freshman
Charlotte Brook was the third Lynn golfer to tee off and she finished in a tie at +3, 75 against Hayley Dye
- Senior
Sara Ericsson never trailed in her match against individual National Champion Gabby Woods and won by three strokes after firing a +2, 74
- Seniors
Adriana Iribarren shot a +5, 77, while senior
Camila Madariaga posted a +3, 75
